Comparison sites rank P2P platforms by interest rate and buyback. Almost none record which legal regime a platform is actually authorised under — and “regulated” can mean five very different things, with very different consequences if the platform fails. This page records the operator entity, jurisdiction and licence for 15platforms, each read from the operator’s own site and dated.
Of the 15 platforms recorded, 7 hold a licence for the activity they offer — 4 under the EU crowdfunding regulation and 3 as investment firms, which is a different regime with different protections.
ECSPR crowdfunding licence. Authorised under EU Regulation 2020/1503. Passportable across the EU, with a mandatory Key Investment Information Sheet and an investor entry test. Does not include investor-compensation-scheme cover.
Investment-firm licence. Authorised under MiFID II as an investment firm or investment brokerage. A different regime from ECSPR — typically carries investor-compensation-scheme cover, which ECSPR does not.
Licence for a different activity. Holds a registration or licence, but for an activity other than lending or crowdfunding — so it does not authorise the service being offered.
AML self-regulation only. Membership of a self-regulatory body for anti-money-laundering purposes. This is not a financial-services licence and implies no prudential supervision.
No licence stated on pages checked. No financial-services licence or supervisory authority was found on the operator pages checked. This is NOT a finding that the platform is unlicensed — only that nothing was published where a reader would look.

Investing in P2P loans and crowdfunding puts your capital at risk — you may lose some or all of the money you invest. Advertised or historical returns are not guaranteed and are not a reliable indicator of future results. These platforms are not banks and are not covered by any deposit-guarantee scheme; your money can be illiquid and a platform can fail. Availability and eligibility vary by country. This is information, not financial advice.
